I stayed here with three friends. One rated it 2/5, another gave it 2/5, and I gave it 3/5. The area was pretty nice, with a gas station across the street and lots of restaurants only a 3-minute walk away. There’s a parking lot, but you have to ask them to open the gate. This isn’t a kid-friendly hotel. Staff don’t really speak English, and they don’t tell you in advance that check-in requires a $100 cash security deposit on top of the room price. $100 is honestly ridiculous given the state of the rooms. The bathroom “amenities” were two regular towels and two small ones, all paper thin, plus a palm-sized soap. My room also had a half-used, open bottle of lotion. There was junk under the beds, yellow stains on the sheets, and the microwave didn’t work. The rooms are alright and nice enough, but look pretty outdated for being so new. The guests next door were having very loud intimacy. When I tried to tell a staff member, he kept repeating “checkout?” and walked away. My brother was able to use his ID to check in even though I’d made the reservation, which makes you question security. I’d only stay here if I needed somewhere decent to crash for the night.

A little help at the entrance would have gone a long way. On my first day I couldn't get through the front door, and the receptionist watched from inside while I tried to work it out. I eventually found the blue button myself. He could have opened it or quickly explained what to do. I ran into the same lack of guidance later when I asked where the restroom was. I was told where to go, but the door was locked. I didn't know whether it needed a key or if there was another step, and no one explained or offered to help. The housekeeping staff were much friendlier than the Chinese guy at the reception desk. I know this isn't a five-star hotel, but basic courtesy and communication matter. Maybe some customer service training, or a more welcoming person at the desk, would help. Pls and Thank you.

Our supposedly “premium” non-smoking room had a heavy, stale cigarette smell. The air freshener they used to cover it was awful and gave us headaches, so in winter we had to sleep with the vent fan running. We were told the 7th Floor would shield us from Queens boulevard noise. Instead, we heard motorcycles, sirens, and drag racers all night, along with plenty of sound coming through the walls from neighboring rooms. A very bad Hotel experience. Aesthetics: Off

The hotel is in a decent spot and the price is low, but even for that, I don't think you're getting what you pay for. We booked four days. The room was fairly clean, including the bed and bathroom, but the towels had lots of hair on them that definitely wasn't mine. The bed itself was clean, though when we asked for the room to be cleaned, they only remade it and didn't change the sheets. The microwave didn't work. Check-in and checkout both dragged because the staff weren't paying attention. There was also very little soundproofing, so we could hear just about everything next door. On our last day the elevator stopped working and we had to use the stairs. One morning the building's fire alarm kept going off very early, with no warning or explanation. That only happened once. The worst part was housekeeping entering without waiting for permission. Twice they knocked and opened the door before I could answer. The safety lock stopped them from coming in, but the second time I was in the shower; afterward I saw the door was unlocked and the safety lock had been moved forward, as if someone had opened it. We complained after the first incident, yet it happened again. I understand staff need to bring clean towels, but entering like that felt extremely inappropriate. I could have been undressed.

There was a cockroach crawling around the bathroom, the sheets and towels looked unwashed, and I found stains on the bed when I lifted the blanket. Staff barely spoke English, which made it hard to explain anything. Then a loud party woke me at 3am. Don't book here if you want a comfortable stay, whatever the price.
