A roomy kitchenette and everything we needed made this a great stay, especially by NYC standards. The rooms are named for wellness and meditation themes, and getting around the East Village was easy. Since it's a vegetarian place, they ask guests not to cook meat. I'd happily stay again.

It felt calm and welcoming here, with friendly staff and a good neighborhood for getting around. There are lots of shops and places to eat nearby, including Katz’s deli, Uncle Sam Pizza, and Remedy Diner. Definitely worth staying at while visiting NY.

The staff handled every little request or issue quickly and well, and the location was handy for the subway, restaurants, and grocery shopping if you plan to cook. Our room was huge and clean, and the kitchen was useful and well equipped. Since we mostly cooked vegetables, I wished it had a peeler and cutting board. One thing to know is that the hotel is vegetarian, so keep that in mind when cooking. The heating, which was the air conditioning in our season, was very noisy. Earplugs made it manageable, and I don't think I would've slept well without them. I'd recommend bringing some.

The staff are quick to answer questions and help with directions, and the location has good food, nightlife, and a train station all around it. Sanctuary is my usual choice when I'm in Manhattan. It's clean and comfortable, with a positive feel, and the room layout works well. Having a kitchen is handy if you need to make a meal or two. I also love the spiritual details, from the room names to the books they leave around. It really hits the heart in all the right ways. Stay here, you'll be happy you did 🙏🏼♥️🙌🏼.
