Sleep Inn

Parking turned out to be a problem, even though we were told ahead of time it wouldn’t be. The pull-out couch in our Suite had no pillows, and when bedding finally arrived, it had holes in it. The worst part was the noise. A really loud Saturday night block party right outside the windows made it sound like we were in a club. I had the noisiest night’s sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. Extremely disappointing stay at the Sleep Inn. I definitely don’t recommend it.

The inn was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was included for free. My room had a calm feel, a large-screen smart TV with Disney +, Netflix, etc., and a refrigerator. It’s a short walk from Arthur Avenue, the main artery of the Bronx's Little Italy, with its quaint shops and delicious food. The New York Botanical Garden and Bronx Zoo are also within walking distance.

We arrived at 10 pm after booking about a month earlier, only to be told the reservation had been canceled because there were no rooms available. They said they’d tried to contact us that morning, while we were already on the plane, and claimed there was nothing more they could do. We had to find another hotel ourselves, and they wouldn’t even pay for the taxi to get there. I was furious!

We were happy with our stay here. The place felt safe and was clean, and the rooms were spacious, with a refrigerator and all the basic stuff. The front desk manager and staff were kind and professional. Shops and restaurants are nearby too.
