Being right on the border of LES / Bowery was the best part. I loved how easy it was to walk all over lower Manhattan, and the natural light in my room was amazing. It worked pretty well for my solo weekend. The rain showerhead didn’t give much pressure, and there were only two towels, which wasn’t enough for me. On checkout morning, someone from housekeeping woke me early to ask if I “wanted any water or anything.” That felt weird and a little annoying. The lighting was the worst part. The toilet’s in its own little room, and the fluorescent ceiling light turns on by itself when you enter. At 3am, half asleep, I got blinded by it. All the other room lighting was fluorescent and terrible too. If you’re sensitive to lighting, bring your own Christmas lights or a small lamp.

The restaurant was beautiful, which made the rest of the place all the more puzzling. The lobby was dark and disheveled, with mismatched furniture, and the entrance didn’t feel welcoming. It didn’t feel like a boutique hotel at all, and there’s a lot of work needed to make the space decent. In the room, the floors were dirty, there were no towel racks, and the overhead light didn’t work. The furniture was banged up. The bed was a queen, but the comforter was full-sized and couldn’t cover two people. We also needed heavier blankets for the time of year. It wasn’t a horrible stay, but I won’t be back. Hope they get it together.

We stayed at this hotel on 23/11/2025, and checkout turned into the worst customer service experience I’ve had at a hotel. The employee on duty was asleep at the front desk when we arrived. We had to call out to him several times before he woke up so we could check out. Then, instead of apologizing or acting professionally, he was extremely rude and visibly irritated that we’d woken him. He treated my wife and me disrespectfully and made the whole situation uncomfortable and humiliating. There was no courtesy or even basic respect, something I wouldn’t expect at any hotel, whatever its price or category. We were shocked by how we were treated, especially at checkout. If this is how guests are handled at such an important point in their stay, I can only imagine how many others have had similar experiences. The service here is terrible, unprofessional and far below any acceptable standard. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to anyone, and sincerely hope they take immediate action on staffing and basic hospitality training. No guest should be treated this way. Avoid this place. There are much better options where you’ll at least be treated with respect.

We’re trying to move to another hotel because staying here is completely unacceptable. The room is filthy and tiny, with visible dirt on the floor, warped side tables, burned curtains, and barely any bedding beyond a sheet and thin felt-like fabric. The lights, outlets, and TV remote don’t work either. There’s no real security: the entrance and front desk aren’t monitored, the doors stay unlocked all night, and anyone can enter or ride the elevator to your floor without a key. The elevators barely fit one person and have plastic sheeting on the walls. The hallways are extremely narrow, and the walls are so thin I can hear someone using the bathroom next door and a full conversation across the street. This place is badly maintained and falsely advertised. If the hotel doesn’t give us a full refund for the misleading listing and all these problems, we’ll report it to our credit card company as fraud. Anyone rating it above one star either has very low standards or is being paid. It’s a two-star property at best, and that’s generous. Stay somewhere else.

The corner room gets loads of light and has plenty of space, so I’d choose that one. The location is perfect, and I’d happily book this hotel again. The rugs could use replacing, but aside from that, it’s amazing.
