The hotel has potential: the lobby looks nice, the layout is comfortable, and it’s conveniently near restaurants and a massage parlor. But housekeeping and upkeep need work. I left the room-cleaning sign out, yet it didn’t look as though the sheets or towels had been changed. The spa tub still had lavender and herbs in it, and there were lavender bits on the towels. My room phone wasn’t connected, so I had to go downstairs to make requests because the front desk rarely picked up outside calls. I booked a King Spa Room for a short break mainly for the bathtub. It was spacious for one person, had lots of closet space, and the large bathroom was spotless when I arrived. Still, the desk chair was dirty, part of the desk was damaged, and the coffee creamer in the room had gone bad. With better cleaning and maintenance, this could be a really good place.

Bedbugs ruined my stay. I was bitten badly, and I’m attaching photos of the bites. I found at least three other reviews from guests describing the same problem and showing photos of bites and bugs, so this seems like an ongoing issue at the hotel. I want compensation for the trouble and harm, and the hotel needs to act quickly to protect future guests. Families with children should be especially careful. This is unacceptable.

The rooftop bar was amazing, and the bartender was lovely, but the room was a no for me. I stayed Thursday night, December 18th, and got bitten three times around my wrist after I got out of the shower. By the next day, after checking out, I was scratching all over. Not happy at all.

I couldn’t get a good rest here. At 10 pm the room smelled strongly of marijuana and loud music was playing. I reported it at the front desk, but they said guests were allowed to smoke marijuana and cigarettes and that they couldn’t stop the music. If you want fresh air and a quiet night, this isn’t a good choice.

There are plenty of food places nearby, plus two gas stations, but I wouldn’t stay here again. The room never cooled down overnight even with the AC set to cool, and the water pressure was poor. The mattress was very soft. The mini fridge was frozen inside, while the cabinet around it was hot, so I unplugged it because I was concerned about fire. The carpet was old and stained, and the Vanderbilt was damaged all over. At check-in, the guy barely said anything, and I don’t understand why they still scan driver’s licenses on a Xerox machine. The man working at 4 am checkout was much friendlier and more engaged.
