The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park

The location is prime, but I found the hotel disappointing for the Ritz-Carlton standards I expected. The rooms were small, the windows dirty, and the amenities basic. Some of the furniture and decor also felt old-fashioned. Service was basic too, without the attention to detail I've experienced at other locations. For that quality, the price felt steep. If you want the Ritz-Carlton experience in this city, I'd look at their other properties or consider a different hotel.

We were celebrating our anniversary, and the staff had champagne and strawberries waiting when we arrived. Before the trip, they asked about our plans, and the guest relations manager left a little memento in our room after each event. Those thoughtful touches really meant a lot. Everyone was friendly and quick to respond, and whenever we needed something, it arrived promptly. The rooms are very spacious for NY and were very clean. It was a spectacular stay. I'm sold on the Ritz Carlton brand and will definitely look for its hotels when I travel elsewhere.

The bar had great food, everyone we met was friendly, and Manny even helped my boyfriend find a weed shop. The showers were my favorite part: the hot water felt like a massage, and I never wanted to get out. We spent two nights and three days here. We were meant to have a double occupancy room, but our ride dropped us off a few hours before check-in, so we got a different room with one bed. That was okay, and we had a Central Park view. I won an all-paid trip to NY, and the travel agent assigned to me picked The Ritz Carlton Hotel. People walking in were dressed nicely and seemed to have money, while my boyfriend and I had come from the deep South of Mississippi without any business casual clothes. The employees treated us no differently.

Alice made the service five stars, she was so kind, professional, and polite. I had a lovely day at The Ritz-Carlton NY, looking out over Central Park. Breakfast was delicious: classic eggs Benedict with ham, with a salmon option too, plus a mixed berry fruit plate. The freshly squeezed green energy juice was perfect.
