Fairfield Inn Suites Newark Liberty International

We had a really comfortable room for our one-night stay before a flight. It was spacious, with a sitting area, a big bathroom, and a super comfortable bed. The hotel was clean and well kept, and we were glad to find a continental breakfast before taking the hotel shuttle to the airport. We had a great stay and would use them again when we travel.

There's a great view of either the prison or the airport, but not much else to recommend here. The noise from airplanes or semi trucks on the interstate reaches every room. The dryer was broken, and the gym is small. There's no restaurant, convenience store, or public transportation. Uber gets expensive since each trip circles about 7 miles around the hotel. If you're driving, you have to cross four lanes of interstate right away to reach the hotel exit. Without a delivery driver available, getting anything risks your life on those exit curves.

For a brief night between flights, the room was clean and fine, with nothing else to complain about except the shower water never got properly warm in the morning. I only used the complimentary 24-hour shuttle between the terminal and hotel when I left. Since I booked spontaneously, I hadn't found out about the service beforehand. I left before breakfast began, though they did offer me some items to take along, which I didn't use.

The hotel was pretty standard, and I liked having free breakfast and a shuttle to Newark Airport. What stood out was the service. The front desk was really helpful, and Elvin, the shuttle driver, was so outgoing. He made the ride to the airport lively and fun.
