Baymont by Wyndham Newark at University of Delaware

Kiara handled a noise problem with real kindness and professionalism, and I can’t thank her enough. On our second night, the neighbor was blasting music and shows so loudly, even at 1 a.m., that it felt as if there were no walls. I told Kiara what was bothering us, and she listened, responded quickly, and offered several ways to resolve it so our needs were met. We ended up at Baymont after our original hotel canceled at the last minute. The first night was great, and we’ll definitely book here again. The area is lovely, with lots of nearby food options. The rooms have a cozy feel and are great for couples traveling on their own, or parents visiting the UD stadium on game day. There’s a TGI Fridays and a few small shops within walking distance.

The University of Delaware football stadium is directly across the street, and you can hear nearby trains too. The area is fairly noisy, so don’t expect a quiet stay, though I slept pretty well. Check-in was quick and easy, the corridors are indoors, the floors are laminate, and the shower was very nice. A decent place if you’re visiting UD.

About 12 years ago, my wife and I stayed here for two months. I think it was called Sleep Inn then, then Neuvo Inn, and now it’s Baymont. I really loved our stay and remember the staff especially fondly, particularly Kathy and Kate, along with the manager whose name I’ve forgotten. They were all so nice. I hope they’re doing well.
