The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and everything looked clean. I did have two problems. At night, I noticed that the used towels from the previous guests were still in a bag hanging behind the bathroom door, so housekeeping hadn’t taken them away. The shower’s sliding door also wouldn’t stay shut unless someone held it in place. Housekeeping should have caught that. Since they earn at least NYS’s $15.50/hour minimum wage, I’d expect details like these to be noticed.

We were happy with the service and cleanliness during our four-night stay, and the beds were comfortable. The coffee was very good, too. My one suggestion is to add another chair to the room, since one wasn’t enough for us. My daughter has down syndrome and likes to sit and work on her tablet. The window seat looked nice but wasn’t practical to sit on. Apart from that, we thought the hotel was very nice.

Read the policies carefully. According to my experience, if you don’t arrive on the first day, they may cancel the reservation even when you’ve already paid in full, refuse to let you in, and keep the money. I don’t recommend this hotel under any circumstances. I had paid for a full week in advance, but the hotel canceled my stay without warning, a call, or a message because I hadn’t checked in on the first day at an exact time. I was traveling from Arizona to New York, a long trip where I couldn’t know precisely when I’d arrive, and there was heavy snowfall on the road. When I finally got there, they said they had canceled me for not arriving the day before and denied me entry. They kept all my money and took no responsibility. I don’t understand why they would cancel a stay that was already paid for. Whether I used the room that day or not should have been my concern. I’ve traveled many times and stayed in hotels and Airbnbs, arriving at all kinds of hours, even at dawn, without this happening. No one seemed to care about my situation or look for a solution. They canceled, charged me, and left me without accommodation. It was an abusive and completely unfair experience.

The staff seemed new and were still figuring out the computer system. The breakfast was fine for the two mornings we were there. The hotel is relatively new, and our clean room met our needs. I was pleasantly surprised by the large shower stall.
