The property could use a refresh, but it’s clean and generally well maintained. We got a lovely surprise with the view of Lake Washington. The room rate was very reasonable, so it’s excellent value, and Cosimo, the recommended restaurant just down the street, is top notch. Trevor gave us a warm greeting and lots of helpful information to start. The desk staff the following day were outstanding too, with good suggestions for local activities. There’s a lot to offer here.
We asked to check in early because of the rain and had nowhere else to go. Jarrod was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and the room was very clean. Everyone at the hotel was friendly, and staying here was a pleasure. We’d previously stayed at two nearby Super 8s and the Ramada, and there’s no comparison. Steer clear of Ramada. A few extra dollars for Red Roof are well worth it, as they say, you get what you pay for. We’ll definitely be back.
I stayed at this Red Roof Inn twice, once going out on vacation and again on the drive home. The rooms were clean both times, and the staff were pleasant. It’s a beautiful facility in a lovely location overlooking a body of water. I asked both times for a bottom floor room near an exit because an illness makes it hard for me to get around. I was put on the top floor both visits, though luckily there’s an elevator. On my second stay they moved me to the room closest to it, so I had less distance to walk. That helped a lot, especially with my dog needing to go out.
Richard at the front desk was friendly and polite. The service from the female employee at the desk was the opposite. She was rude and dismissive, covered her name tag, and said her name annoyadely, so I’m unsure whether it was Lauren. Manager Debbie came out when we asked for her, but allowed the behavior and did nothing. We’ve stayed at Red Roofs from New Jersey through PA to NY, and the quality depends on the staff and service. At this property we told the desk we had no internet in our room. They said the hotel was full of military personnel and the connection might be spotty, or there might be a problem with our laptop. We felt dismissed. The laptop worked in the lobby, but the internet stopped as soon as we went into our room. On our third visit to the desk, the employee brought out Debbie. My husband said he’d been in the military too and that shouldn’t make a difference. The employee, whose name is uncertain, asked for his military ID. He didn’t have one. She immediately accused him of impersonating a military member and threatened to call the police, even though he had served nearly 30 years ago. She let her assumptions run wild, and I’ll make one too: maybe the employee is a family member of yours. She slipped through the cracks in hiring and shouldn’t be in customer service or around self respecting people. To Shenna Owner/RediResponse Specialist, whichever or both, the staff you hired will ruin your business. All the best!
My husband, our dog, and I stay here often, and every visit has been pleasing. The staff are wonderful, friendly, welcoming, helpful, polite, professional, and respectful. They go out of their way to make us feel at home, and they’re especially great with my dog. They’re always smiling too. The housekeeping ladies do an unbelievable job. The rooms are clean and well kept, and the fridge and microwave are spotless. They’re lovely as well, greeting us with a smile and hello. We’re pleased every time we come back. It means a lot when the staff remember you instead of treating you like just another guest, number, or dollar. That makes all the difference.
