The Lake Inn at Mt. Sunapee

We've stayed for a week to ski in each of the last two years, and love this place. It's great value with awesome views. Steve is a really nice owner who takes good care of the units and outdoor area.

We loved the enclosed porch, a lovely spot to watch the lake change with the light and weather. The little hotel was charming, cozy, and perfect for a relaxing week. The room was so clean and welcoming, and the owners were great. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for making the week so relaxing!

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the fridge is dorm-sized, bigger than the mini fridges at some other places. This is an affordable alternative to pricier hotels nearby, with a great location and easy access. The facility is a basic, early-era motel, best suited as a starting point for local activities. Restaurant choices nearby are limited, and the other food options are expensive, so making sandwiches or heating things in the microwave makes sense.

The room was clean and handy for Mount Sunapee, but very dated. When I arrived for a two-night stay, it was 59 degrees and the heat wasn't working. He checked it and said I could have a space heater if it didn't come on so I could shower, but I didn't see him again until I complained the next day. He offered a refund, but I was there for a wedding that night. He brought a space heater. I asked for another room and was told there wasn't one, though we noticed a couple of empty rooms. He eventually cleaned the bathroom in one of them, saying the guests had just checked out, so I could at least shower there. He also said they only used one bed, so I could sleep in the other one. I took my things over to shower. I was disappointed not to get even a partial discount for being freezing and dealing with all that inconvenience.
