Hilton Austin Airport

Everything else was great, and I used to enjoy this motel and its amenities, but this ruined it for me. At 8:20am I was jolted awake by someone trying to come through my door without knocking. I assume it was housekeeping. The deadbolt stopped them, so they gave up that time. Later they tried again without saying a word, and I had to tell them to go away. For a place with such a high rating, staff should wait until they're told a guest has left before trying to get in. I won't stay there again.

Parking and the shuttle are real advantages here, and we'll be back. We had to spend the night at the Austin Airport Hilton because winter driving conditions were unsafe, and couldn't have picked a better place. The staff were amazing. Only three people were covering several roles in real time, yet everyone stayed calm, courteous and professional. Their grace and efficiency made a stressful situation much easier after a long day. Thanks to the whole team for making an unexpected overnight comfortable and positive.

The building's history is interesting, and I understand it wasn't originally designed as a hotel. That may explain the long walks from the elevator to rooms and the confusing layout of breakout sessions for our conference. Still, I'd stay again. The rooms were comfortable, the shower had hot water and great pressure, the food was good for hotel food, and room service arrived quickly. Service overall was great.

As usual, we had a superior experience. We booked for confidentiality reasons, and at the last minute they found several rooms we needed to protect my privacy and accommodate my personal team.
