Irene Sell helped us when we checked in for the night, and she was courteous and professional. The two other women were just as pleasant. Irene also let me know that my law enforcement work made me eligible for Tribute membership and its extra courtesies. Customer Service was helpful too. Thanks to all of them.

I’m trying to find out where I can file a complaint about the service my family and I received from the hotel and casino staff over the weekend of February 21st. I visit the casino about once a month and have never had a problem with the staff before. This was my first time booking a room and staying overnight with my sister and cousin, and it’s made me question whether I’ll come back. My sister asked a housekeeper how to get to our room, but she says the housekeeper was rude and wouldn’t give her directions. I also had a bad interaction at the cashier. I put my driver’s license on the counter to get a copy of my players card. The employee snatched up my license, then flung it and the card back onto the counter when she returned them. I’ve never dealt with this kind of attitude on earlier visits.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the property was clean with plenty of gambling options and booze. Still, I didn’t find enough charm to make me want to come back. I was last here more than ten years ago, when the casino had a gangster and Speakeasy theme. It had a lot more character then. Now it’s mostly two large rooms, one for smoking and one for non-smoking, filled with tables and slot machines. Most of the slots are much older, with a few newer ones mixed in. The hotel seems to have expanded, and there’s still a horse track out back. We stopped for a couple of hours to gamble on our way back to Ohio. I didn’t eat here or stay overnight. The place has changed a lot over the years, and my best memories are from before the hotel was added. These days it feels like a chance to lose your money for the possibility of winning a little back.

My wife and I have been coming here since before there were tables, but we’ve since started going to The Rivers and Presque Isle. The staff there have better attitudes, and they offer more black jack tables for people with average incomes. The entertainment and atmosphere here have gone downhill badly. Bring back the Grand Piano in the Mahogany Bar and have it open every day. The entertainment needs serious attention, which could help bring more visitors in. I’d also take the old buffet over the restaurant’s current food and service. The sports betting area takes up too much room, space that could go to more black jack and dice tables. The slots are tight, but we wouldn’t mind that as much if the place focused more on satisfying customers.

Tuesday night was quiet, just how I like it. I had a fun time at roulette and black jack, and won enough to keep playing as long as I wanted. At The Gatsby, the pizza was just okay, but the wedge was gorgeous and delicious. The BBQ bacon cheeseburger with fries was good too. I’d love to come back and stay overnight.
