The price was really competitive, and the mattress was firm. The bathroom and sink area are small but new, and the hot water was properly hot. The WiFi barely handled audiobooks, though, and the TV took so long to load that we gave up. If you need reliable internet or TV, this may not work for you. I’m writing this in May 2026 and hope they get a stronger router. 😐😊

The nightly rooms look nice, but the weekly rooms were dirty and smelled of smoke and mold. Housekeeping needs to do a better job, and the floors should be cleaned. The rooms are overpriced, especially the weekly ones, and they need updating.

We found a hypodermic needle in the dresser, and while we were staying there, someone in another room died from an overdose. When we told the police about the needle, the officer said, “Welcome to Newington, be glad you're at this one. The other motels are worse.” The rooms weren't cleaned, and we were told the sheets are only washed or changed once a week. The office staff were incredibly rude, and the place is gross. I would never recommend staying here.

The linen was stained on my very first night, and they didn't want to give me clean replacements. There are no housekeepers coming around. The laundry costs $4 to wash and another $4 to dry, and only two machines work. The front desk staff and manager are rude and have poor customer service. The older maintenance man and the woman working the weekend morning desk were the only two nice staff members. The rest throw the linen in the overflowing dumpster out back. The room itself was in awful shape: blood stains and holes on the walls, no dresser drawers, a box spring used as the bed with no mattress, and dirty linen. It's not worth even one night. There are better motels with better hospitality along Berlin Turnpike. The state should shut this raggedy place down. PERIOD!

The best part of the room was the comfortable bed, and the TV picture was great. But the jacuzzi never worked properly, even though we paid $185 a night for a room with one. It took three or four hours to fill, and by then the water was cold. There was no hot water at the sink or jacuzzi, and even the small shower turned freezing after about five minutes. On the first day, they brought a hose so we could try to move the little warm water from the shower into the jacuzzi. It worked somewhat that day, but not after a plumber came later, and no one kept us updated. We stayed all five nights, but only got one complimentary day, not two or a discount for staying again. We arrived at 1:30 a.m. and the place looked a little run down, but I was exhausted and had settled in, so I didn't want to move rooms. We were missing a phone, trash can, working hair dryer, and coffee maker. All the towels were dirty, so we bought our own, and we cleaned the jacuzzi ourselves. The shower soap dispenser and under the sink were filthy too. My spouse asked for a broom and mop, and we cleaned those areas ourselves. I have pictures and videos of the water problem. The manager or owner never showed up and stayed behind the phone. Faye was very rude at first, but after getting to know us she was the only one who checked the water and saw how cold it was. Bria was amazing, Shelly was a superstar, and Jesus from maintenance was super helpful. They seemed embarrassed, but kept up their front desk service. The sink was tiny, like it was for a toddler. One person answering the phone said I didn't need to know their name, which was a big no for me. After 23 years working in hospitality, this was a huge disappointment. The owner or manager really needs to do better. I don't usually complain like this, but I don't want someone else to fall for it.
