Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Newport News South, VA

I was in room 311, and the WiFi only worked in the hallway. The front desk employee, a young man with dark hair, told me to go out there, but it cut out again whenever I returned to my room. Most TV channels didn't work, so I couldn't watch TV during my stay. He said he'd contact the cable provider, then later said he couldn't reach direct tv. When I called for an update, the desk hung up before I could say hello. I was told I'd get the $18 service fee back for the channel problem, but they never honored that. He was rude when I brought the same issues up again, and I didn't think he intended to help or find a fix. I asked for a manager. The place was filthy throughout, from the lobby and corridors to the elevator and rooms. Coffee, milk, and food spills made a trail from breakfast to the elevator, and food sat in the hall for a day. My sheets were stained, the carpet was disgusting, and the bathroom was dingy and dirty. The shower had poor pressure and temperature; it wouldn't get hot or stay hot. Outlets in the room and bathroom were loose, so plugs wouldn't stay in. Towels and washcloths looked cream-colored or stained, and I didn't use them because they weren't white. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
