Express Inn Newport News

I booked two nights but only stayed one. The beds felt like concrete, and I couldn't sleep on pillows that seemed stuffed with clothes. One of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Avoid it at all costs.

I lived here for three months and never had trouble with parking or the other people staying there. I mostly kept to myself, sometimes ate next door, and went to Walmart. The desk staff were nice. When there was a problem with my A/C, a man came to fix it and was friendly and nice.

Thank you, it feels like home here.

The room itself wasn't too bad, but my wife's perfume, makeup, and other things were stolen. Management said it must be a mistake because she'd never had complaints before, and suggested I might not have shut the door. I usually check that the door is closed in places like this. They said they'd review the camera and contact me if they saw anything, but couldn't promise. I gave them the times we left and came back, so they could check who entered. It feels like they're too lazy to do their job and confront or fire a thief.
