The $600 a night felt outrageous for what was no better than a Motel 6, and Newport has plenty of better choices. The whole house had a pervasive mold smell and a film of grime. Furniture was dated, ratty, and stained, with signs of significant water damage, including stained ceilings and smelly carpets. Without central AC, we had to listen to old window units hum all night. Breakfast is run from a standard residential kitchen that can’t fit more than a family of six. I would NOT recommend the Bayberry if cleanliness, guest safety, or your money matter to you.

We spent several nights at the Bayberry in December, and the location was wonderful, close to lots of things to do. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, including great gluten-free and dairy-free options for us. I’d recommend the Inn to anyone.

The homemade breakfast each morning was delicious, and the afternoon treats were a lovely touch after a day of exploring. Service was excellent, and this charming bed and breakfast is wonderfully located, just a short walk from shops, restaurants, and local attractions. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it for a cozy, convenient getaway.

The Bayberry Inn is a lovely, peaceful place, and breakfast was wonderful. We could walk to everything we wanted to see in Newport, so it’d be great for a girls’ weekend or bachelorette party.

We loved spending our wedding weekend here and hope to return for our anniversary. The room and bathroom were both spacious and nicely furnished, breakfast was delicious, and our host was so accommodating. Thank you!
