The New Year’s Eve party was fantastic, from the food and drinks to the entertainment. My friend and I had a wonderful New Year’s stay at the Vanderbilt, where the cozy atmosphere has a lovely Gilded Age feel while remaining elegant and inviting. Gabby and everyone at the front desk were kind and welcoming, and clearly cared that we had a great vacation. I’ll absolutely be back.

The food was incredible, both at our small wedding and during the other meals we had there over our three-night stay. Sara, the event manager, worked with us for about 10 months and was very responsive by email. She even met us on a day off to show us around the inside and outside and help us think through our events. The rest of the staff were amazing, too. Our room and shared spaces like the library were spotless, and staff around the hotel knew our names and room, which made us feel important. We’re already looking forward to coming back for our anniversary, or sooner.

The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and have nice amenities. There’s dining on site with full menus, and the spa has a good range of services plus a nice sauna. The location is great for walking to most Newport attractions, and they make you feel special.

We booked at the very last minute to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and the team jumped in to help us get settled. Everyone was so nice, and Srdan at the front desk has been incredible since we checked in last night. They went above and beyond to make her birthday feel special. Promote him!

The dining was a real highlight: the restaurant had a delicious, inventive menu, and the complimentary breakfast offered fresh, locally sourced choices each morning. We also enjoyed the indoor pool, rejuvenating spa services, and rooftop bar, with its beautiful panoramic views of the city and harbor. A Tesla charger is available on the property at no cost. The Vanderbilt is well placed for walking to Newport’s shops, restaurants, and historic mansions. Our room felt like an elegant retreat, combining historic charm and modern luxury, with crisp, high-thread-count linens and a lovely view of Newport. Check-in was seamless, and the staff made us feel at home right away. The team took pride in making us comfortable, anticipating needs and offering thoughtful recommendations. We left feeling refreshed and are already planning another visit. It was a five-star experience we can’t wait to repeat.
