Best Western Red Coach Inn

My hubby drives a hot shot truck and I travel with him, so we stay in a lot of motels. This one was easy to get to, very clean, and the people were awesome. It cost a little more than we usually pay, but it was worth it. If you’re passing through, it’s worth a stay.

This is the best bang for the buck in Newton. It’s an old hotel with outside entrances, but the modernization inside feels current and comes with the amenities of a new hotel. The room was clean and modern, and the bathrooms and sheets were extremely clean. Highly recommend it. I’d only change the number of electrical plugs. There were just four.

I’ve been stopping here for over 15 years, ever since I realized the inn was halfway between my home in Colorado and family in Arkansas. It’s conveniently located, a great price, and works perfectly for me and my traveling dog. The amenities are good, and the owner is wonderful. He remembers me and always asks how my Mom is doing. I only missed staying here during the COVID years. I’ll always stop when they have a room for me.

We were both physically handicapped and traveling with our 15-year-old dog, so having a room right by the parking area made things much easier. We could get our bags in easily and had a nearby place to walk her. The room was non-smoking, which I loved because I’m allergic to tobacco smoke. It was clean, fresh, and well appointed. The front desk person was gentle and accommodating, and helped us in several ways as we asked about our needs. We’d stayed at national brand motels on the way from Bozeman MT, and this was by far our best experience. Those higher-priced places had TVs that didn’t work, disconnected phones, and awful access for handicapped people. Red Coach Inn was a superior stay for us. We plan to visit Newton KS again and will stay here. Braums Restaurant is right next door, with great ice cream treats and hamburgers.
