The house itself was lovely and well located for Niagara Falls, but the stay felt cold and unwelcoming. Our hostess, Kim, wanted us to turn off the small window unit during the day, even though it was 90°. After being out all day, the room took so long to cool down that we couldn’t sleep comfortably. The next day we left the air conditioner on, then came back midday to find it switched off again. That meant she had entered our room while we were away without telling us. At breakfast, we were only offered coffee. When we asked for juice, both mornings, we felt like we were imposing, and another couple said they felt the same. Kim kept coming into the dining room to check whether our plates were empty so she could clear them, but never asked if we needed anything. While my husband and I were still sipping coffee and talking with the other guests after finishing breakfast, she turned off the lights. We were shocked and took it as a hint to leave. We’ve stayed at over 50 B&Bs and have never had an experience like this. Hosts usually offer water and a choice of juice, chat with guests, and share information about the property. There wasn’t even water in the little refrigerator outside our door, although we were told we could use it. We were really disappointed, and this is the first bad review we’ve ever given to a bed and breakfast we’ve visited.

I had a great stay and would happily return to Niagara Falls. Kim was a gracious, genial hostess throughout, and especially accommodating when I had a last-minute reservation mix-up that was my fault. The house is beautifully furnished and very well cared for. My room was large and easy to move around in, with a huge bathroom. Everything was sparkling clean, and the antique and original fixtures and furniture were in excellent condition. The bed was comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. I loved the veggie omelette. Free parking was a big perk, and I could easily walk to the casino, restaurants, and Goat Island. The price was quite reasonable, too. I’ll recommend it to family and friends. One tip: a third-party booking site said there were no rooms, but when I called, they had one left and gave me a slightly cheaper rate, so call ahead.

Kim was an attentive hostess and shared maps and lots of local information. The room and bathroom were very nice, the bed was comfortable, and the place was quiet even with every room full. Breakfast was a choice of homemade meals. The falls are only a short walk away, so the location is excellent.

The location was ideal, and we could walk to Niagara Falls fairly easily. Our room was comfortable and nicely furnished, and breakfast was tasty and carefully prepared. The inn does accept children, though we got the impression they’re expected to behave very well so they don’t disturb other guests or damage the many antiques. The current owners had only recently taken over from the previous management, who had run it for many years, so I’m guessing the policy about children might change in the future.

I felt safe staying here as a 22-year-old woman, and the room was so cozy and clean, all decorated in purple. The host was adorable and greeted me with real warmth. Breakfast was really good too, whether I went for the omelet and potatoes or the fruit salad. Such a little piece of heaven.
