Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Niagara Falls by IHG

Sam at the front desk was really nice and exceptionally helpful. The showers were relaxing, with very hot water and great pressure. The beds weren’t all that comfortable, though. They’re remodeling, so maybe that’ll be improved during the work. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The stay was restful and quiet, and reception was absolutely warm and polite at check-in. But I had a very strange encounter with the breakfast server on January 1st 2026. While I was picking food from the trays, the serving scissors fell. He got up right away, said, "gimme mi dat," and snatched them from my hand. I was shocked and confused. People in the service industry are there to serve. I won’t stay at this location again.

There were bugs crawling around our room on the third day, and all of us had bite marks. We documented everything with photos and videos. That was the last straw after an already extremely unpleasant stay, and I couldn’t wait to check out and leave. I’ve always had a good impression of Holiday Inns since 2012, whether I was staying in the States or Canada. This Niagara Holiday Inn changed that. I booked for five people, but there were only two towels, no hand soap, and the toilet paper was nearly gone. I had to ask the front desk for these basic items. The next day I went to the fitness centre and found a major ceiling leak. I used the face towels there to clean it up because the place was poorly maintained. There were no weights or cleaning wipes. The pool was extremely dirty too. From above in the fitness centre, the water looked murky, and I could see hair at the bottom.

The rooms are dated and nothing special. The desk staff were awesome, though. I wanted to try the breakfast everyone was raving about, but somehow they ran out of plates. Weird.
