Featherbed Railroad B&B Resort

The train car rooms have stairs, so they're not accessible, but if you can climb up into one, it's a great little getaway. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the place felt cozy and full of character. The owners were kind and did everything they could to make our stay good. Breakfast was gourmet and amazing, too. With a private dock right on the beautiful lake, this is the best B&B I've stayed at, and I travel a lot. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Watching the water from an Adirondack chair on the shaded lawn would be lovely on its own, and the decor and jacuzzi tub make the place feel even more special. It's so clean here, too. I can see this working for a couples weekend, a trip with girlfriends, or a special visit with the grandkids. Can't wait to stay and enjoy it!

Breakfast was a highlight every morning. I expected a basic continental buffet, but it was a sit down meal with table service, delicious food, and beautiful presentation. The quality and amount included in the stay were amazing, and I really looked forward to it. The caboose was great and had so many thoughtful touches, from robes and slippers to coffee with all the fixings. The stocked mini fridge was much appreciated, especially the Diet Cokes, and I loved the surprise luxury skincare eye masks. We didn't get around to using the TV or boating equipment, but I appreciated having them available. I took my 6 year old on a Mommy & Me trip and we had such a good time. We played the lawn games, enjoyed the tree swing overlooking the lake, and tried axe throwing with the plastic and foam equipment. The raised cabooses and ramps were perfect for tossing paper airplanes down to the shady grassy lawn. We loved our stay so much that, just two days after getting home, I booked another three nights with my other son. Looking forward to three more breakfasts!

We stayed here through Harvest Hosts, which lets us park our RV on the property when we buy breakfast, so I can't speak to the caboose rooms. Check-in was very smooth, and breakfast was amazing. Our RV spot had a beautiful view of Upper Lake right out the front window.
