For the price, I thought the rooms were really nice. Mine was clean and had everything I needed. Some other reviews don’t like the place, but if you want something nicer, you can spend the extra money. I booked with days inn, not eglin extended stay. The staff were super friendly and patient with me during my stay of over a week. The breakfast wasn’t special: coffee, juice, cereal, eggs, sausage, and waffles. The wifi was crazy fast, though it kicks you off after x hours. They cleaned my room every two or three days, which was enough for me.

There was a crowd of men hanging around outside when I arrived, and it made me uneasy. While I was checking out the room, they broke into my van, so I left. The room itself was very clean, and the man at the desk greeted me warmly and did his best. But the door wouldn’t lock, and the furniture was bolted down, so I couldn’t use it to block the door. With the people living there causing concern for travelers, especially women, it didn’t feel safe.

Mike at the front desk welcomed me and gave me really proper, excellent customer service. He made check-in smooth and got me what I needed. I was surprised when he walked all the way with me to the other building to show me my room. Well deserved 20 stars.

Room 136 smelled like dog urine, and the carpet was wet and stinky. My five-year-old son got very sick and vomited on the bed and a towel. They charged me $54 for that. They also make you pay a deposit before you’ve even seen the filthy room. This hotel is horrible and scams veterans out of money. I’m definitely taking this higher.

We booked four rooms for the family over the Fourth of July weekend in Florida and stayed two nights. Both nights felt like too many. The room was filthy: maggots in the bathroom, a tub that wouldn’t drain, red hair stuck to the shower wall even though none of us have red hair, and carpet that felt stiff and sticky, like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. There was mold in the corners too. The washer and dryer ruined our clothes, and the parking lot was covered in trash like a landfill. The first night, the AC quit in the middle of July in Florida. We started complaining at 7 a.m., but couldn’t call because the phone wasn’t working. It wasn’t supposedly fixed until 6 p.m., then failed again 15-20 minutes later. It took five complaints before anyone even tried to fix it. We asked for another room that morning and were told the hotel was full. They only offered one late that night, saying the wait was because other guests had paid for early check-in. Seriously? Nobody seemed to care or apologize, and there was no hospitality or accountability. We’ve stayed in cleaner, more responsive budget motels. At checkout, they acted indifferent when we complained. They promised a one-night refund over a month ago, and we’re still getting the runaround. First we were told the manager wasn’t there and wouldn’t be back until Tuesday. Then they asked for my mom’s card number, but later said they had refunded a different card, mine, even though I never gave them my information. I still haven’t received a dime, and none of it makes sense. This was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve had and a total waste of money. Pay the extra $50 a night to stay across the street at the Marriott, or better yet, stay on the beach. You’ll get a cleaner room and better service from staff who value guests. Never again. I’d post photos, but the review isn’t giving me the option.
