Best Western Sonora Inn & Suites

The pool, BBQ, and gym were all in good working order, and the room was spacious and very clean. The staff were friendly and really helpful. I’d definitely stay here again when I’m back in the area.

The pool was one reason we picked this hotel, but it was much too cold, and there were wasps all around it. I'm allergic to them. I also saw that the elevator hadn't been inspected since 2023, and I tripped at the doorway because it didn't line up with the floor when the doors opened. The one star is for cleanliness and breakfast, which were both great. I wouldn't return. On check-in day, we told the front desk the key reader wasn't reading our room key. They made a new one, but I had to go back more than 9 times during our stay because it kept happening every time I left the room. I'm handicap, so repeatedly going up and down was very hard for me. I also reported that the drain wasn't draining. It never got fixed, even though I was told maintenance was scheduled for that Friday and Saturday. Afterward, the manager emailed saying I had never told them I was handicap, but I absolutely did on day 1, and even mentioned parking in handicap. They also said our door lock was never broken. The manager's email was rude and hostile, and the customer service was absolutely horrible. Save your money and time and stay at another hotel in Nogales. I'll never use best western again.

The king room had high ceilings and lots of space, and our room was ready even though we arrived more than an hour before check-in. The staff are welcoming, gracious, and kind. They take real pride in keeping the hotel neat and clean. The breakfast buffet attendant working this morning kept everything in order and made sure the food stayed full. If you need somewhere to stay in Nogales, this is it.

We had the pool to ourselves, and it was nice. There's a gas grill beside it, too. The room was large with a huge TV, and the staff were quick to respond. They gave us free bottled water when we asked about it. My only gripe: there were just 2 small towels, and no towels by the pool. There's a nice restaurant/bar next door, though it's not connected to the hotel, and a convince store across the parking lot. I'd stay again.
