The front desk staff were very kind, but the cleanliness and the response to our concerns were unacceptable. My husband and I found hardened urine stains on the toilet seat, then spotted a brownish-red bug in the bed. It looked like a bed bug, so we were moved to another room, but later told it wasn't one and might have crawled in through the window. That was frustrating, especially after the dirty toilet seat. I’ll post the photos and let people decide what they think. The response felt dismissive, which is a terrible way to handle a guest's experience. The cleaning standards were below what I'd expect even in a prison, and the hotel seemed fine with that. At this point I expect a full refund, both for the string of bad experiences and for the lack of acknowledgement that this was unacceptable.

We had a great stay and will probably come back. There are a couple of fast food spots and restaurants close by, and a bowling alley just down the way. The breakfast was good, with cereal, ready-to-eat oatmeal, a pancake maker, and other choices. They kept the food and drinks from running low. The hotel also had a gym, ice machine, water dispenser, and laundry area. A nice bonus was being able to use our paid subscriptions on the TV, with Wi-Fi available too. The doors have a regular lock plus a small metal plate for extra security if the first lock doesn't work. My partner and I were pretty impressed with what was available.

The road noise was ridiculous all night, and I had to buy earplugs for our second night. It felt like sleeping in an RV at Daytona. We moved right next door to the Fairfield Inn, which shares the parking lot, and those rooms were 100x quieter. The hotels were fairly similar in most other ways, but that noise difference really mattered. The staff here were nice and did the required tasks to standard, though their appearance didn't seem very professional. Breakfast was average for this level of hotel, nothing special, but my kids enjoyed the automatic pancake maker and the pancakes were decent. I also noticed warning signs in the Tru elevators about misbehavior and consequences. At the Fairfield, they seemed to expect guests to behave without posting rules and consequences.

Really nice place to stay, with clean rooms and awesome staff. It's also close to lots of good places to eat.
