The bed wasn’t too bad, but over three weeks the neighbors’ noise came through the paper-thin walls and floor. The elevator was another constant concern. A paper notice said its inspection was done in September 2025 and the state hadn’t sent the certificate yet. Going between the 1st and 3rd floors, it rattled, bounced, and clattered as it leveled, as if it might get stuck. It did this almost every time, and was worse when another person rode with me. I’d only recommend staying a few days at most. On the first day, neither the bedroom TV nor the living room TV connected to the internet. I tried reconnecting them, then went downstairs to ask for help or for someone to come fix them. They said they were switching service providers. I explained that Wi-Fi worked fine on my phone and computer, but they said they didn’t know what to tell me and handed me the Wi-Fi support number so I could fix it myself. Nothing was done during my entire stay. The blackout shade’s pull string had come off its track on the first night and made a terrible noise, though I managed to put it back. On the third day, the in-room coffee maker stopped working. I reported it and nothing happened. They said the hotel had just been renovated, but the work looked cheap: nothing was taped off, blue paint bled onto the white walls, and there was a light paint handprint on the back of the door and the coffee table. A light switch and dimmer did nothing, the fan meant to move air from the bedroom AC into the living room didn’t work, and I couldn’t find a switch for the light over the couch.

I paid a lot for a stay with almost no comfort, and after all that they only agreed to reimburse me for one night. I won’t ever return. I called a day ahead to explain that I work nights and would need to sleep during the day. I asked for a top-floor corner room. They gave me a top-floor room, but not in a corner, and the noise was unbearable. For all four days, I heard doors slamming and kids playing in the halls. When I opened the door to see what was going on, it was housekeeping slamming doors and vacuuming near my room. I told the housekeeper I was trying to sleep for work, but he kept vacuuming outside my room. I was miserable, got no sleep for three days, and had to work like that. It showed poor communication among staff and a lack of care for guests. Terrible.

We were profiled and discriminated against. My fiancé and I used the restroom before booking a room, and staff followed us in and told us to leave because we’d used it before booking. An older white woman yelled at him to leave and put her hands on him when we hadn’t done anything wrong. Management is unprofessional, and that woman needs to be fired. Charges are being pressed.

The location is outstanding, and the layout was nice. The shower had good hot water and pressure, and the coffee machine and breakfast were decent. The Friday morning agent was welcoming and friendly, but the others were not. I’d say hi or good afternoon and get ignored or a blank stare. I won’t stay here a third time. For a newly renovated place, it’s already falling apart. I could hear everything the neighbors did, watched, or said. There was a huge debacle over a legitimate service animal, and I’ve already contacted corporate. The bed wasn’t very comfortable; the old mattresses were much better. The shower has nowhere to put your things, and although pets are apparently allowed, I haven’t seen anywhere for them to potty.

The room was okay, but the doors slam loudly all day and night, and there’s a lot of road noise. The shower has nowhere to put your things. The hot tub was lukewarm. When we reported it, the front desk said management knows and won’t fix it. We stay at Holiday Inn Express all the time, but this one was very poor quality. We wouldn’t stay at this location again.
