Holiday Inn Berkshires

My family has stayed here before, and they were back for a second visit. They’ve also eaten at the restaurant, most recently a couple of months ago, and enjoyed the meals and beer from local breweries. On this stay the restaurant was closed for an off-site event and wasn’t serving breakfast, but the front desk staff were pleasant and offered useful suggestions.

The Richmond Grille was probably the highlight for us. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, and the lounge was very nice. My wife had Eggs Benedict and Salom, while I ordered a Farmer Omelette and Steak Tips. All four dishes were great. The room was clean and a good size, with a comfortable bed and pillows. The fridge was roomy, and the microwave helped us save on at least one lunch. We also made use of the pool, though there was no soap in the shower room. It’s an older, standard Holiday Inn, and pretty much the only choice in town, so I’d give it five stars for North Adams.

A comfortable, clean place to recharge while traveling. The water pressure was perfect, and the staff were cordial and helpful. The hotel could use some updating, but it works well for families on the road who aren’t looking for a modern, high-end style.

The location worked really well for visiting Mount Greylock or the Appalachian Trail, and it’s a good base for activities in the northern Berkshires. At the hotel, front desk service was quick, the microwave heated food faster, and the room was comfortable. The air conditioning was quiet, and I slept well in the comfortable bed, which isn’t always the case at other hotels.
