The innkeeper was warm, funny, and welcoming, with great suggestions for local food and things to do. My husband is a die-hard Trekkie, so I surprised him with a birthday weekend in the Star Trek themed room at the Itty Bitty Inn. We absolutely loved it. The creativity, detail, artistry, and care that went into the room were incredible. It was quirky, silly, immersive, and so much fun. The room was spotless and the bed was super comfy. The books, DVDs, and interactive touches made the stay feel special. There’s so much personality and heart here. We had a wonderful time, recommend it without reservation, and will definitely be back!

We had such a fun time in the tiki lounge at the Itty Bitty Inn. The decor was envy-inducing, and the room was so enjoyable that staying in for the night felt just as good as going out. It was clean, easy to find, and simple to park at. The front office was welcoming and fun to talk with. There are several excellent cafes and restaurants within walking distance, and a gorgeous state park a short drive away for beach sunsets. Wish we’d had longer in town. The Itty Bitty will be an easy pick next time we’re in the area.

The Itty Bitty Inn made us feel like family. Rick welcomed us with “welcome home” when we arrived, after calling seven hours before check-in to ask when my brother and I would get there. I was caught off guard by the call at first, but it turned out to be the start of the most homey hotel stay we’ve had. He asked about our trip and made us feel welcome, like an amazing uncle we hadn’t seen in years. Rick was excited to explain how local artists had created the room and point out the nods to special episodes. We also got a complimentary local craft beer or cider, and both were superb. Then he politely left us time to explore and find the secret button. The room felt nostalgic and got us off our phones and into full-on Star Trek mode, even though we’re not super fans. This place has the friendliness, comfort, and fun that’s missing from a lot of hotels. Whether you’re a Star Trek super fan or going through the worst time in your life, a stay here can be a bright spot. I’m thankful I found this one-of-a-kind experience. Other hotels won’t compare to the service Rick gives, and everyone deserves to be treated like family here.

There’s so much care in the Star Trek room, enough to make even a faithful Trekkie happy. I had a wonderful stay, and it felt warm and homey. This definitely isn’t a “Kobayashi Maru.”

I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels all over the country, and this is hands down the coolest place I’ve found. The owner is a great artist with a knack for unusual things. Each room has its own theme and lots to look at. The place was clean and easy to find, just south of the neon sign welcoming you to town. If you’re traveling along the Oregon coast, this should be a highlight of the trip.
