Budget Host Inn & Suites

We were grossed out enough that we didn’t shower or eat there. The place seemed in severe disrepair, to the point that it felt unsafe. Under other circumstances, we wouldn’t have stayed at all. The common areas smelled bad and looked dingy, and the rippled carpet was a tripping hazard. The pool was closed for “maintenance”; after seeing reviews going back to January 2023, I wondered if it had been unusable for a long time. In our room, the whirlpool was marked “out of order” and had an ironing board placed in it. A light fixture was broken, paint had worn off in several spots, and the bathroom ceiling tile was warped from what looked like water damage. The exhaust fan clanked loudly enough that we didn’t use it. The faucet handles didn’t match, and the cold handle turned on in either direction, as if installed incorrectly. The toilet wasn’t very clean, and the outside shower wall had greasy fingerprints. There was no coffee machine, the pillows were flat as pancakes, and the carpet had holes and needed replacing. The door also lacked the usual extra security lock. I didn’t bother taking photos because I’m sure this review won’t prompt any improvements.
