GrandStay Hotel & Suites

I live nearby and bring my kids here for an overnight stay a couple of times a year, just to get out of the house. After all my military travel, I still count this among the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Parking is easy, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The lobby feels welcoming and the staff are friendly. Walmart and Target are close. The pool was warm even after we came out of the hot tub, and towels were always stocked.

Our company has six rooms here for several more weeks, and the service and rooms have been outstanding. The whole staff understands we’re away from our families for a long time and works to make us feel at home. Bree goes above and beyond to make sure things are right, and we’re always greeted with a smile and invited to let them know if anything could make the stay better. It’s hard to imagine a cleaner place or friendlier staff. Great job, GrandStay of Cambridge! We’ll be back and recommend it to people traveling through.

The hotel was decent and the room was fine, but after swimming the night before, my son woke up with a rash. He had showered afterward, so I don’t think it was chlorine. He said the pool felt quite warm. Chat GPT says it could be “hot-tub (or pool) folliculitis,” caused by “Pseudomonas bacteria that thrive in warm pool water.” It’s going away, but the pool and hot tub seem like they need better maintenance and monitoring.

We had a wonderful stay, so I’m not sure why this place has so many bad reviews. The woman who checked us in was really nice and let us arrive early so we could get ready for a wedding. The rooms were clean and lovely, and the pool stayed open until midnight. The night staff member was very nice too. You can order pizza late at night at the front desk. If you’re in the area for a wedding, I highly recommend it.
