TownePlace Suites by Marriott Fayetteville North

I'm a Marriott Bonvoy user, and I've never seen hotel management care only about the money while refusing to address customer feedback. We raised concerns because we cared and didn't want them to get in trouble, but there was no mutual feedback.

The rooms are awesome and feel more like apartments than hotel rooms. Rates are fair, and the staff seem polite and eager to help.

I'm disgusted with this location and wish I could get my money back. There was urine in the shower and dirty dishes in the sink. The elevator barely works and is more than a year overdue for inspection. Heat was stuck on; the wall thermostat didn't work, and the window unit stayed on until I flipped the breaker. There were homeless people hanging around both inside and outside the hotel, and one was doing "maintenance." In the room, the small old TV only had basic cable, some lamps and outlets didn't work, and the shower had an empty bottle where soap and conditioner were supposed to be. Marriott has two-star hotels nearby with much better amenities and warm, non-prepackaged breakfast. I'm not sure why this one is rated three stars.

The room was a good size, and the location was convenient. The air conditioning could have been colder, though, and the door only shut and locked if I got it just right.
