Desert Pearl Inn

We planned on four nights and stayed six because the suite was so comfortable. It was spacious and great for making breakfast and snacks, and the extra cost felt worth it for a special trip. We even took a day trip to Bryce instead of changing hotels. Internet was fast and reliable. Even with winter construction going on, we booked at a reduced rate and weren't disturbed once. The location is ideal, very close to the park entrance and an easy walk to restaurants in town. In my opinion, river-facing rooms are the best. Waking up to canyon views both in front and behind was a treat, and the hot tub was still going strong with great views either way. Evan at the front desk deserves a special mention for being especially helpful before our stay. This is still the undisputed number one place to stay, and we'd highly recommend it. The only small improvements I'd suggest are some modernization, like smart TVs with Netflix, and a refresh of the wooden furniture that's starting to look a bit tired. Those are very minor issues.

The river and mountain view was easily the best part, just beautiful. The room was cleaned well, and the queen beds were soft and very comfortable. The restaurant attached had great dinner choices, though breakfast was lacking. A few things could be improved: the TV or remote wasn't working right, so we could only watch one channel. The AC unit was confusing and rattled loudly enough to make it impossible to ignore while trying to sleep. The couch bed also felt pretty dated.

Isabel was a big help with my booking, suggested places to eat, and pointed me toward trails to try at Zion. The views were breathtaking, and my room was spotless. I'm so glad I booked this amazing place, and I'll definitely stay here again.

There are VCRs in the rooms, and you can borrow VHS tapes from the office. A fun bit of nostalgia! We also loved sitting out on the patio and heading to the hot tub in the evenings. It was really nice. Our room had two queen beds, felt comfortable and airy, and looked out over the riverside. We had a really great stay and can strongly recommend this hotel as a base for Zion.
