Element by Marriott Charleston Airport

The room’s layout worked well, with a kitchen, living room and bathroom by the entrance, plus a separate main bedroom behind a sliding door. The blackout curtains run in tracks and block light really effectively. It was cleaner than most hotel rooms, too. It’s fairly close to the airport and plenty of places to eat and shop. There’s a shuttle, though it doesn’t run on weekends. Staff were friendly enough. I’m not usually all that impressed by hotels, but I was with this one and would stay again if I’m in the area.

Chris, the Assistant General Manager, was exceptionally hospitable and accommodating. Tim at the front desk was friendly and even remembered our late checkout when we extended by a night. The breakfast was decent, and the staff there were friendly. The place is quiet, reasonably priced and conveniently located, with plenty of parking. Facilities, halls and rooms were clean, spacious and modern. The beds were comfortable, the pillows were good, and everything worked. As a “professional” traveler, this hotel “checks all my boxes.” HIGHLY recommend it. Thank you for keeping up the great work!

The gym is roomy and exceptional, with lots of cardio machines and free weights. The laundry on site is a blessing for families and people on the road, and I enjoyed the pool and grill last time. I’m looking forward to more pool time this season. The team keeps the outdoor areas in great shape. There are tons of restaurants within walking distance, and being across the street from Top Golf is a nice bonus. The rooms are quiet, the beds are comfy, and the AC works just how you’d want. They’re laid out well for all kinds of travelers, with long-stay amenities that have covered everything I’ve needed, no matter how long I’m there. Breakfast staff are fabulous, friendly, and happy to help you find things, with a laugh along the way. Customer service is one of the top three priorities in my industry, and this Element gets 10 out of 5 stars. Jennifer is far beyond polite and friendly as a GM, and every employee I’ve met is helpful and kind. That kind of consistency comes from a commitment throughout the team. CHS ELEMENT has ruined my travel, in a good way. I now compare every hotel to the Charleston Element. Don’t sleep on it, but DO sleep in it. I wouldn’t steer you wrong.

Keisha in guest services told me the muffins are made from scratch each day, so I tried the Cranberry Orange one this morning. The breakfast is FREE every day and 10/10. We’ve had French toast and pancakes, and they make the food fresh in front of you. There’s also an espresso machine in the lobby, available 24 hours, which was a huge benefit. Keisha was excellent. The Element was SUPER clean, the rooms were in excellent condition and roomy, and the kitchen area was extremely nice and useful. It opened in May 2025, so it still has that new feel. I love the modern look and would definitely stay again. We couldn’t swim because of the weather, but the outdoor pool area looked really cute, with two TVs. The hotel’s convenient location was great. The only reason I wouldn’t give the area five stars is that some nearby hotels look like they need serious improvements. I highly, highly recommend this place.
