The room was disgusting, with roaches all over, hair on the bed, and no TV. The bathroom was so filthy that I had to sleep on top of the bedding. The woman working there was extremely disrespectful. I plan to complain to Expedia and Booking. Places like this shouldn’t be listed on those sites.

The hot shower was about the only saving grace. The towels were covered in dog hair, so I went out and bought my own. There were some nice cats hanging around the pool area, at least. I’ve slept in better places while deployed, and this felt like too much money for a cheap hotel. If you’re looking for a dime bag, though, you might find what you need here.

We arrived to check in around 9 p.m., but getting out of the car already felt frightening. The room they assigned looked onto the inner courtyard, and we didn’t feel safe enough to go inside. My friend and I ended up deciding the car was the safer, more comfortable place to sleep. We’d booked just one night, and the stay was awful. The earlier reviews seemed accurate, both about suspicious little packets and the general sense of danger. I wish zero stars were an option.

My room was clean and fine, but an older white man with glasses who drove an older Dodge pickup made us uncomfortable. While my wife was talking to someone outside, he made a sexual remark about the size of her breasts. He’d seemed cool at first, but the comment felt like harassment. We reported him at the office, and they only told us to come back when the manager was there. Then we found out he works there as the maintenance guy. LOL.
