Captain Mike's Snug Harbor

The dishwasher flooded the floor, and with the floor already buckled from water damage, it seemed like this had happened before. We ended up handwashing dishes the whole weekend, May 12-14. The place smelled old and musty, with cobwebs everywhere, and we had to clean and disinfect everything before using it. I even washed the bed linens after finding a child barette in the sheets under the top cover. There was also a live mouse stuck on a glue trap in the kitchen, so we used olive oil to free it. The old, ragged tablecloth could easily have been replaced, but apparently that didn't matter. I always bring cleaning supplies and scented candles when I travel, just in case, and I was really glad I had them. We didn't use the shower at all. We chose this property poorly but tried to make the best of it. I complained to management, but they weren't helpful.
