Aloft by Marriott North Kansas City

The bar was a nice extra, and the staff were friendly, but the state of the hotel’s cleanliness spoiled the stay. Our room was filthy: debris on the floor, sticky patches, toothpaste splattered beside the sink, food-like stains on the couch, and marks on the sheets. The hallways looked as if they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. I don’t think I saw any housekeeping staff during our one-night visit last weekend. There’s a lot of work to do.

Glad they have a heated pool where business travelers can unwind after work. It’s cozy, though I wish it were a little longer. The room was okay, but the soundproofing wasn’t great. A guest next door started singing at 7 a.m. Otherwise, fine.

Ralph is the person you want at the desk if there’s a problem with your room or reservation. He’s focused on helping and keeps working on it until you’re comfortable with the solution. Thanks, Ralph.

Ralph made check-in easy and helped me feel settled on my solo trip, with local tips and a warm, professional manner. Jose was great around the security area and lounge, too. He suggested late-night food spots, and his friendly personality made me want to stay at Aloft North Kansas City again. Both of them deserve recognition and a raise or a new role. Nice work, fellas! - Tlaloc aka “ Mr Raider “ The room was spotless, stylish, and quieter than I expected with the lively space downstairs. The bed was cloud-like, the amenities hit the mark, and the location worked well for exploring downtown KC and the Northland. Aloft North Kansas City has a modern, upbeat feel, and the welcome from Ralph and Jose made my stay especially memorable.
