Cannery Hotel & Casino

The elevators were out for four of the nine days we stayed. They wouldn't provide wheelchairs to help people with walking difficulties get to their rooms, and wouldn't give us rooms near the elevators when we asked. Front desk service was subpar. Apart from one very nice woman, the cashiers were rude, almost condescending. Management is the problem, and one star feels generous. I love the staff but hate how the place is run. The bartenders, wait staff, and slot technicians were hardworking, polite, and exceptionally friendly. Restaurant service was excellent too. It's rare to enjoy yourself while losing, but those people made it possible. I recommend stopping by to see the service staff, though I don't recommend staying here. It's a shame such good people have to deal with such horrible management.

The cafe serves really good food, and the service there is fantastic. It's a smaller casino, but there's still a nice range of games. My one gripe is the gambling chairs. They don't adjust in height, and I'd play much longer if my feet could reach the floor.

I like coming back here for the old-school feel. It isn't fancy, but it has a bed and a nice bathroom, and it does what I need. Being connected to the casino makes me feel safe since security is always nearby if needed. There are tasty restaurants right in the casino, and we enjoyed the pool too.

Sol Gonzalez, the manager, was especially kind and helpful, and everyone on staff was wonderful. My husband and I needed this little vacation, especially him after truck driving, and parking our semi was no problem. We ate at the Cafe, where the food and staff were great, and did laundry too. The Club was a blast, with jokes, music, dancing, and wonderful staff. We slept in a bit and had such a good time. Can't wait to come back before long. Keep up the good work, Cannery casino and hotel!
