Sunrise Inn Hotel

We booked a king deluxe non-smoking room, but what we got was one of the worst rooms I've ever seen. The furniture was ripped and stained with what looked like who knows what bodily fluid, there were holes in the walls, and trash in the hallways. The toilet seats had cigarette burn marks, and there was no jacuzzi tub despite the ad. The rooms don't look as advertised, and manager Marlin was no help at all. There were jagged surfaces in the room that seemed like a safety issue, so I plan to report them to the Better Business Bureau. They should be glad reviews don't allow photos. If zero stars were possible, it would still be too many. 10/10, stay away.

The price is outrageous for such a run-down hotel, and they add $6 a night for electricity. They don't take Amex because they say they can't afford the fees, the pool was closed, and there's no coffee. Ask for extra pillows and they fetch a plastic bag with two from a storage unit, then you have to put the sheets on yourself. At the front desk, the woman acted like returning my deposit was a chore and treated me as if I had a disease. She handles money all day, so actually she's the dirty one. Not recommended.

After a 12-hour drive, I wanted an inexpensive place near the freeway, so I used Chatgpt to find one. As soon as I arrived, I felt unsafe, especially as a woman traveling alone. There were obvious “tweekers and druggies,” homeless people, and others loitering around the parking lot and nearby area. I didn't even go inside to check in. It was disappointing, and it felt more like a place for “quick deals” than somewhere restful. I strongly say, don't waste your time or money here.

The bathroom floor looked like it had never been mopped, and the bed sheets were nasty. They don't ever clean or change them. There were stains on top of the nightstands and microwave too. What do you think? Nah, it just gets worse.
