The views are terrific, parking is great, and the rooms were much cleaner than I expected. It feels like a five-star hotel, and the back area is especially good for kids, with a lazy river and a couple of nice outdoor pools. My only real complaint is the service. The staff weren't rude, just not very engaged, and there aren't enough luggage carts for all the rooms.

The view was beautiful, the resort itself is gorgeous, and the staff were nice when we spoke with them. The breakfast server was especially friendly and attentive. Still, I left pretty disappointed. I've stayed at Beach Cove three times before and never felt this way. We were shocked to learn parking cost $12 a night on top of what we were already paying. I didn't complain to the front desk lady, but she kindly gave us free parking for my 30th birthday. My husband, daughter, and I had been looking forward to a week together, but our room was filthy. There was so much sand on the floor that our one-year-old was trying to put it in her mouth, and the floors were sticky. A wipe we used on them came up black. I went down for a broom and cleaned it myself because I didn't want to make a fuss, but by day two I couldn't stand the stickiness and asked someone to mop. They asked if I'd made a complaint because the cleaning staff weren't around during the week. We were there in February, so apparently they may not clean Monday through Friday in winter or the off-season. Then on Thursday, my husband called for toilet paper and was told the cleaners had gone home for the day. Which is it, do they work during the week or not? Trash piled up outside our door all week. The fresh towels and washcloths we got had hair that looked like pubic hair stuck to them, and another washcloth looked like someone had wiped a dirty bottom with it. Hot water was only enough for one shower, maybe two, so a whole family had to wait between showers to get ready. On top of that, workers spent the week renovating right outside our door, yelling, drilling, and banging from 8 a.m. They should close off the areas where guests are staying while work is going on. If we'd known it would be like this all week, we wouldn't have stayed. I'd love to come back, but I'm not sure I will unless they improve the cleanliness.

We enjoyed four days here, liked the room, the views, and the pools, and didn't notice bugs or a bad smell. You can tell it's an older resort, though, and the bathroom could use a few small updates. We'll be booking again soon. Thumbs up.

Before Memorial Day 2026, we spent five nights at this resort, and finding a good place on the uncrowded beach was easy. The elevator wait was the main hassle. Otherwise, the hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly, and it had a nice family feel. There are outdoor pools, hot tubs, kids' pools, a poolside bar, and a lazy river that was relaxing, though the tubes were kind of small. On the lobby level we also found buffet-style food service, a gym, a game room, and an indoor pool. I recommend it.

Room 1408 in the A tower looked really nice, and the hotel was clean, but the room really freaked me and my kids out. They were 16 and 9, and all of us felt uneasy as soon as we walked in. At night we heard what seemed like pennies hitting the floor; the balcony curtains opened, the dining chair moved, and lights flashed. A few other strange things happened too. The elevator was painfully slow, sometimes leaving us to take the stairs up 14 flights or wait more than 20 minutes.
