The food at Sunny Parrot Cafe in the lobby was fresh, delicious, and really convenient to have just steps from the room. At the Blockade Runner Hotel, I also had a spotless, comfortable, well-kept room with a beautiful view that made the stay feel relaxing and memorable. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout, always checking that everything was right. With the clean room, great view, kind staff, and excellent food, I’d happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and we loved the phenomenal views. Our room was clean and well maintained, too. We had a really enjoyable trip, would recommend staying here, and plan to return.

I’ve been staying here for 10 years, and Shanna taking over as manager made my visits so much better. She’s kind, pleasant, and an amazing person. I’ve come to think of her as a wonderful friend. Mindy and Chase are always friendly too. The Blockade feels like my home away from home.

We love the Blockade Runner. It’s a little dated, but it’s always clean, and they’re quick to take care of anything you need. Shanna has been the best thing to happen to this place, and Chase is a great new addition who goes above and beyond.

I’m here now on my first visit, and Mindy and Chase at the desk are awesome 😎. It feels less commercialized, and we liked getting an actual room key instead of having to remember a number. The desk closes at 7, which works for us. It’s all oceanfront, in a quieter part of the Strand, and there’s a pool area too. We plan to come back sometime.
