Most of the apartments have been updated with fresh paint, furniture, appliances, and cabinets. It’s a lovely modern building with plenty of amenities. Condoworld manages many of the updated apartments, so check with them.

I’ve stayed here around five times, in units from the seventh floor up to the penthouse. The location is great and quiet. Parking can be snug if you have a large vehicle.

The property has direct beach access, pools, and a lazy river, but Penthouse 7 at Laguna Keyes was tacky and not worth $2,600. I’ve stayed in Myrtle Beach many times, and this condo was dirty and worn. The formerly white tables were a grimy gray, hair was on the table at our first meal and scattered around the unit, and the floors were dirty. The patio and main bedroom blinds were torn or missing, with some slats shorter than others. The balcony door lock was broken on one side, and someone had left a window open in the front room with the double beds. I was glad we checked before our daughter slept there. The patio furniture was old, rusty, and worn out, and the water pressure was low. The treadmill was broken all week. I wasn’t told penthouse guests park on G5, and you need a clicker to reach that covered parking level. The spaces are tiny, and people tend to take the middle ones, so be ready to parallel park in tight spots. The same keys are used around the property, but they only work sometimes. You don’t need pool passes. Spectrum Wi-Fi was spotty. There’s a Roku TV in the main family area for casting, though we preferred the regular Spectrum cable in the front room. I wouldn’t rent PH7 again. Stay somewhere else.

The kids had a blast in the lazy river, and the hot tubs were great. From the bed or couch chairs, you can see the beach while watching TV. The room was well stocked, with TVs, closets, dressers, and nightstands in each bedroom, plus the kitchen basics. But there were nine of us, and we didn’t have enough silverware; a cookie sheet and more utensils would’ve helped. The keys also didn’t always work well for getting into the building.

We spent Christmas week at the northern end of North Myrtle Beach. We walked along the beach each day and went out on Cherry pier, which I recommend. The outdoor hot tub and indoor pool were nice. The parking garage was mostly empty, and we could bring our luggage and groceries up to the unit without going outside.
