Shoreham Towers I, 8-C - 3 Br Condo

I booked a condo for February and was told in the contract that ongoing construction would be finished before I arrived. It wasn't. Workers were at my bedroom window and on the patio throughout my stay, with constant noise. Plastic blocked the oceanfront view unless I stood up and looked over the guard rails, and for four days the whole patio was covered from ceiling to floor. I complained to the owner and asked for a credit, but was offered one toward a stay next year. This condo shouldn't have been rented in that condition. If you're booking in the off-season, check that no construction is planned. If there is, consider another place.

The carpets were filthy and the beds were worn out. Cabinet doors were falling off, and the stove burners weren't attached properly, so they kept coming out. Opening or closing the blinds took about 10 minutes. There was urine and feces on the toilets, and every sink faucet leaked. This was the worst condo we've ever rented. We're done with Shoreham towers.

The condo was beautiful and right on the ocean, with plenty of space for our group of six. We appreciated the security and how quiet the place was. There was a nice pool and a lovely nearby area to relax. The maintenance man was super nice when he helped us on check-in day, answered our questions, and showed us the restrooms by the pool, which was helpful with three kids along. The management company also checked in to make sure we were having a pleasant visit. We'd love to come back.

Our family has been coming here since the early 2000s, and we'll be staying again in 2018 and 2020. The units we've rented have suited our needs, the common areas are kept clean, and parking has never been an issue. The pool is adequate, though we spend 98% of our time on the beach. There's also a great place to barbecue with an ocean view. Restaurants, shopping, and attractions are close by, while the location stays away from busy Myrtle Beach. We missed 2019 because our daughter got married and sucked every last dime out of me that year. It's been a perfect spot for our family, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we have. Can't give it anything but five stars.
