Tahitian Princess by Elliott Beach Rentals

The beach is very close and the place is spacious, so you’re paying for the location and room. Beyond that, it left a lot to be desired. The furniture looked like it came off Temu, the pool table was useless, and the chairs were broken. There was literally one trash can for a three-story building. Bring your own pillows and blankets because theirs are horrible. For the steep price, it was underwhelming.

The Tahitian Princess has some real positives: it’s large, on a quiet street, and right at the beach entrance. It used to be a very nice place, but it’s obvious the owners haven’t kept it up, and we wouldn’t stay again. It was livable, but everything seemed broken or in need of repair. The place looked and felt dirty and worn out. There were six grills by the pool, and all six were broken beyond repair. The kitchen was poorly stocked, without even potholders. The toilet paper holder was so broken we had to leave the TP on the floor. A broken shower door had been replaced with a cheap rod and curtain. The door lock batteries were low, so the lock usually didn’t work. We had no safe way to secure the place when leaving and had to leave our things unsecured. We told the owner, who did nothing, so we complained to Airbnb. That pressure got the owner to come over. Even with another air filter lying on the floor by the HVAC unit, they refused to replace the dirty one when they came to change the lock batteries. The bedroom sliding door was broken and couldn’t be locked either. How would you feel sleeping there? We could hear people in the next condo snoring at night. The owners were difficult to work with. I’d only consider it if the cost were massively lower than other units nearby and the owner responded to major concerns, especially being able to lock up valuables. They’ve ruined a once nice place through poor upkeep and low-grade products. Check out the picture of the air vent filter.

The area was amazing, with plenty of parking for our group and a very short walk to the beach. It’s a modern home, but it needs work. The AC went out twice, bugs were around, and the cleaners did a terrible job. All three fridges weren’t working when we arrived. The pool table and movie theater were gross and need a deep clean, and there was mold in the bathrooms. We were also missing plates, cups, and silverware. The owners through VRBO communicated terribly, so we had to find other ways to reach maintenance and get things done.

The house was spacious, very clean, and worked perfectly for my big family, with a well-equipped kitchen and gorgeous bathrooms. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, just a three-minute walk from the beach, and we enjoyed having a pool too. The host communicated very quickly. I’ll definitely stay there on my next visit.
