Towers at North Myrtle Beach

The hot tub area worried me: a pole beside it was shaking and coming loose, which seemed hazardous for both kids and adults. The slide I chose this place for wasn't open, and checking in meant going between two locations, which was overwhelming. In our room, the balcony door wouldn't open and patio furniture had been left inside. Maintenance got the door open while I was out, but left the furniture by the bed. With my shoulder bothering me, I couldn't move it, and I wasn't happy about that. The bed was uncomfortable, and after traveling I was so tired that I stayed instead of finding somewhere else that night. Later, I left my key in the room and had trouble getting the front desk to let me back in. This was my first stay here, and I wasn't happy with it. I still haven't heard from the manager. How am I supposed to show the photos? smh

The room itself was disappointing. We were three adults, but there was seating for only two, and although it was advertised as oceanfront, only the master bedroom had a view. The staff couldn't move us to another unit there, but they did a great job finding us good accommodations elsewhere in MB. The room sucked; the staff were excellent.

Housekeeping and registration were very nice, but maintenance was zero. I checked in yesterday at 3 p.m. and waited until 10:23 this morning for someone to put in a stopper so I could use the jet tub. The maintenance man said he'd left the office an hour earlier to come over, as if we hadn't been waiting. Maintenance was the only thing this rating is about. I'm a frequent customer, but I'm close to canceling my September and October bookings since they don't seem to care.

We were there March 8-15 for a college softball tournament. The privately owned condo was comfortable, though some electronics could use updating. My complaints are about the facility. There was no one around the towers to answer questions, and getting to the pools meant finding your own way through a parking garage. There were no signs or staff to guide us. The cafe only opened Thursday through Saturday for limited hours, leaving the many tournament parents with nowhere to grab a bite. Building work was another problem. From the 17th-floor living room I saw a rope hanging in front of our balcony, and crews sandblasted outside for hours as they worked up the building. We hadn't been notified. For four days, the noise kept us from sitting on the balcony. With so many softball guests in town, they needed staff to help people find their way around and better timing for maintenance so paying guests weren't disturbed. I don't think I'll stay there again; there are lots of other resorts in the area.
