Gulf Pointe of Naples

The water view is great, and the place is clean with some amenities. Rooms have new furnishings and a small kitchen, and there's good space for the money. It's nice for a quiet beach day, with bars, jet ski rentals, and other activities just a short walk away. The pool is small, there's no workout facility, and it's not entirely kid friendly. Wi-Fi is only strong near the front office, which can be inconvenient.

The nearby restaurants are fantastic, and the location is good. Still, after driving down what looked like millionaires' row, this place was a letdown. Our room faced the road, so we had no sea view. It's dated, though it does seem to try its best despite its age. We had four power cuts, which were annoying. I don't know if that's a regular thing.

I've loved coming here for 30 years, starting when my parents bought their first timeshare. Since then, we've bought two more, and family and friends have purchased several too. It's a small, uncrowded place where you feel like you know people and want to return. Nothing pretentious about it. If you're after high style and service, this probably isn't for you. For a laid-back, comfortable stay, it's perfect!

I've been coming here since I was a kid in 1978. It's a peaceful, beautiful home away from home, with just 15 units, and we see many of the same people every year. The beach is pristine. There are free bikes, kayaks for $5.00, grills, a heated pool, and best of all, the hammock.
