Innovation Hotel

I was here for one night for a small conference on site, and the whole place felt so welcoming. The rooms were really comfortable, and both the food and bar service were top-notch. Wow, five stars.

The hotel is clean and has a very modern interior, so I can see it working for a business trip. For a vacation, though, I wouldn't recommend it. There's almost nothing in the way of amenities: no pool, balconies, ice machine, mini fridge or microwave, and the beach isn't close. The fitness center is basically the only real amenity. Nothing is within walking distance, so you'll need a rental car. Breakfast is a basic continental spread with powdered eggs, toast, fruit, coffee and tea. I was hoping for real eggs. Housekeeping was light, too. They made the bed and changed the towels, but left dried toothpaste on the sink and sand on the floor. The air conditioning was weak; even with the setting at 69 and the fan on high, we couldn't get the room below 75 degrees. I wasn't impressed and will probably pick another hotel next time.

Just one night for us. The place was clean and comfortable, and the design was really nice.

Everything was quiet, friendly and super clean. The staff were so cheerful and willing to help with anything, which was lovely. The shower was huge, but the floor got really slippery. Smaller tiles with more grout would give better grip when wet. The A/C responded well, though the room felt very humid. Maybe that's normal in Florida? The phone in our room didn't work. Luckily, the radio clock could act as a speakerphone, so we had a workaround. The toilets were also oddly high. I'm 5'5 and could barely touch the floor with my toes. Construction is well over, but I still wonder whether a giant picked the height. Aside from those things, I would call it a five-star stay.
