Camelot Waterfront Inn

I decided the $140 I'd lose was worth leaving. I couldn't ask my lady to sleep somewhere this poorly maintained, and I'd tell anyone to inspect the room before paying. The AC didn't work, the grounds were neglected, and the room door was rusty. When I asked for another room, they said they're all the same. There was no bedspread or comforter, just stained sheets. The sofa was so dirty and stained I wouldn't sit on it. The faded, filthy walls and baseboards looked like they hadn't been updated since 1950. The bathroom was just as dated and uncared for. And if you're expecting a water view, you may not get one. At least two-thirds of the rooms have unpleasant views.

I came across this motel by chance and was glad I did. The Marina view room I chose at check-in was very clean, freshly painted, and just like the photos on the website. Staff were really nice from check-in through the stay, and housekeeping was thorough and helpful. It's not a luxury place, but it's one of the better values around Palm Beach. I'd book again.

The bed was firmer than I prefer, and the small, hard pillows weren't comfortable for me. Still, the price was fair, the room was clean, and the shower had great water pressure. The staff were nice too. I'd stay again if I'm in the area.

The room was filthy, and I found roaches. The door also looked broken. I have photos, and I can't understand the five-star reviews. I wouldn't suggest staying here unless you're really desperate. Can I give negative stars? This was the worst experience I've had. The office closes at 9, and by the time I tried to get to the room, there was nobody I could call. I'd already paid in advance, and they didn't offer a refund. The front desk clerk said they gave me a room with a balcony that didn't open because I had kids and kids try things. My kids are well behaved, ma'am.
