The location made getting around easy, with shopping centers, restaurants, convenience stores, and the beach all nearby. We didn't have to drive far for stores or time by the water. For the area, the rates felt fair and affordable. It's hard to find a reasonably priced place that still feels comfortable and well cared for, but Inn of America managed it. The pool became one of my favorite parts of the property. It was clean, well maintained, and a good size, with a depth ranging from about 3 feet to 6 feet, so it worked for swimming or just relaxing. After long days in the heat, it was nice to cool off there. The pool gave the motel a laid-back Florida feel, without the crowded, busy atmosphere. The people around the property were kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. That made a big difference in feeling comfortable and respected. I had a very pleasant stay from beginning to end, and would recommend Inn of America to anyone looking for an affordable, comfortable place near shopping and the beach.

I canceled because I didn't feel comfortable waiting alone in the lobby with some questionable-looking men around. It was a cold day, and I was sick, so I wanted a cozy room to work and recover. Working at home is hard with my toddler, and I had work meetings and assignments to keep up with. I had booked day use, with check-out at 8am, but arrived at a run-down hotel where they offered stale, cold bread and bad coffee on a cold morning. The front desk agent said my room wasn't ready. I could understand a reasonable delay, but even after I explained I was sick and had scheduled meetings, she had no estimate for when it'd be ready, despite having my reservation. It was the worst hotel experience I've had, and a complete waste of time. If I hadn't booked through Day Use, I'd have lost money too. Don't waste your time and money. Find a hotel that respects its guests.

Cockroaches everywhere. We checked in, saw them running around, and checked right back out. The room was gross and dated, with old bedding full of burn holes. This place needs a major overhaul and updating. Stay away from this hole in the wall. It's disgusting. I couldn't give it zero stars, but that's what it deserves.

I reported the same problems to the front desk four days in a row, and other people have reported them too. Management already knows, so the response about being “concerned” doesn’t ring true. The staff bring their kids to work, and they cause a lot of disruption around the vehicles and on the sidewalks. They’ve been loud and cursing outside my room. With my door, room 117, having been kicked in before and neighbors constantly smoking outside theirs, I’m worried about my safety and feel like I’d fail a drug test right now.

The roaches in the room and what looked like blood splatters on the wall, apparently from people shooting up, were awful. The company is family run, and the family lives on the property. The younger woman who’s there with the kids was great, but her mother was rude and had a bad attitude with poor customer service. She acted like the place was the Hilton, so I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
