Park Motel

I tried calling the Park Motel using the number shown on Maps, but the call didn’t go through. A different number I found through a Google search went unanswered. When I stopped by, nobody was at the front desk, and ringing the bell got no response. There were handwritten notes taped to the lobby window telling people to call another location for accommodations.

The owner came in every day and turned the air conditioning down or off. My room reached 95° and didn’t cool down at all. That would have been bad enough, but the garbage wasn’t taken out and the bedding and towels weren’t changed either. Gross. I’d never stay here again.

It was dirty and not up to the standard a place should meet before renting rooms to customers. Definitely not worth what we paid.

Room 18 felt sketchy as soon as we arrived at midnight, and there was a urine smell. An hour or two later, while we were eating and getting ready to sleep, banging started outside the AC next to the bathroom sink. We thought it might be the AC cooling, but then heard banging and scratching again. We called the owner, and he checked behind it but found nothing. We tried to brush it off, then 10 to 15 minutes later there were two stronger rounds of banging. We were convinced it was a ghost or something, maybe a spirit since there’s a cemetery close enough to walk to. We packed up and left. The owner offered us a room upstairs, but we said no and got out of there. Avoid Room 18. The person we called was the co-worker, and he was Indian.
