Dinner needs planning here, so book a table ahead of time. The restaurant was nice, the food was good, and the staff were friendly when we visited. It is a little pricey, but that was expected since it is the only option nearby. Our cabin suited us perfectly. The lodge and cabins, along with the surrounding park grounds, were clean and well cared for, with lots of trails and paths offering beautiful views. The lodge itself is beautiful too, with panoramic canyon views. Highly recommend!

I’d been to the South Rim several times before I finally made it to the North Rim in 2019. I didn’t stay at the Lodge. The drive down from Kanaab took me into a noticeably different climate, with cooler air, forests, open meadows, and less traffic.

Seeing both sunset and sunrise from the lodge made for an amazing experience, and we had such a wonderful stay. We highly recommend this side of the canyon. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the fire. We hope you can rebuild bigger and better. We’ll definitely return once everything has been cleaned up and rebuilt. We’re all thinking of you!

The young staff members were the best part of the trip, especially the people in the deli. The motel room was a letdown: no data or service, no AC, no outlets by the bed, thin walls, and the wall-mounted hair dryer didn’t work. With no AC, everyone had to leave their windows open, so there was no privacy. Luckily, our neighbors were really friendly. The older woman who checked us in was unkind and snapped at her coworkers in front of us. The location is great, but the service is hit or miss and the rooms are just meh.

The village hotels have a lot of history and charm. Some are beautiful old wooden buildings, and the Grand Canyon itself is a great place to visit for the views, hiking, and a chance to enjoy its historic character.
